Jim is right. Pay strict attention to the service intervals, don't drive it like you stole it and if you hear any noise you haven't heard before have it checked out. I recently traded a 1994 GMC Sonoma pickup with 476,218 miles on it. The dealer actually bought it as an example of Chevy durability. Change the oil every 4,500 miles unless you use Mobil 1 synthetic, then you can stretch it to 10k. Unless the car is a lemon from the get go, if the the care is given, you should have little problem meeting and joining the 100k club. Good luck.

being most car makers don't require a car to even be tuned up for 100,000 miles today, unlike years ago when it was 20-30,000 miles, if you take care of your vehicle, you can get a few 100,000 miles outta it... I have seen two chevy trucks with over half a million miles... one had 510,000 and one had 954,000, that one was in junk yard. you will have to replace engine oil and transmission fluid regularly. And you will have to keep the vehicle up... but most folks don't keep a car that long, most just throw them away after 100,000 miles.. it's a throw away society... good luck and hope you get many miles from your new vehicle!

199,000 miles do far. And running GREAT! I have a 2007 Kia Sorento and it has running great, the only things I have had to replace are normal wear and tear items brakes, tires, and alternator and battery, and I do oil changes regularly. I just had to replace value cover gasket the only bad thing is the oil drips on alternator it has no cover, and caused it to go out. A lot of people think it is newer than what it is. I think a good thing to do is keep it the garage at work and home if you can. We just moved to a new building at work that does not have a garage. So it is now out in the elements now.

It's a great family car, and on occasions it has proven to be quite good for the rough unsealed logging roads too. My 2011 - 3.4 L Sorrento has 100.000 Miles on the odometer and I have not had a single issue with it. I do follow the maintenance schedule religiously as per the owner's manual. I do pull my 24 feet cruiser boat with it in the summer which thus Sorrento can do as it is an AWD and it is equiped for the weight of this boat. I has never been into an accident either, people don't believe it is an older model as it really looks like a newer one both inside and out except the hitch that is rusted due to the salt at the marina where I drop my boat o spend the summer.

My 2007 Kia sorento has 349,940 on her and she is still running strong. I have had all major maintenance done at the dealer and oil changes on a regular. Lots of freeway driving the only issue had and changed was the power steering leak. Very minut nothing major . Love her; let's go 400K RYAN
