Judge, that video is for a E46 Chassis, which is the 3 series. Depending on model year the 5 Series BMW does not have removable lenses and unfortunately the OP will need to replace the whole headlamp assembly.

ooops...you the man for spotting it...If I had one of these would have spotted that...man that was like a doctor performing surgery....kinda latino...but a teacher...sounded like~ gained some knowledge from this video even if it wasn't the correct one~ thanks again Tom~

NP, I just replaced my lenses on my '05 and used that same video.

Depending on the year of the 5 series you can replace just the lenses and the later years you can't
