increased battery disharge when stationary

Not much of a BMW guy but even too me it sounds like a very weak alternator. Hookup a volt meter to the battery and see what the volts are with the engine idling and then rev it up too about 2000 RPM and check it then, no lower than 13.2volts and no higher than 14.8 volts.
