First Time BMW Buyer Question

Asked by Aug 21, 2015 at 10:48 AM about the BMW 3 Series

Question type: Shopping & Pricing

I am considering buying a BMW for the first time so I have a few questions.

I'm most interested in a E46 330i, probably a 2001-2003. Does anybody have
experience with these? Most that I'm looking at have well over 100,000 miles. Is this a
problem? And on average, how much does routine maintenance cost?

Any guidance is appreciated! I do apologize for the uneducated questions.

No problem, I have an E46 330i, I would say to read this, it will tell you everything you want to know. Have the car you find checked out by a reusable BMW mechanic before purchase and be sure to have extra $$$$ to do some maintenance right after you buy it.....http://www.bimmerfest.com/wiki/index.php?title=BMW_E46

Is there any pattern to the wheel/rim style on the E46 330i? I've seen several cases where there appears to be vehicles from the same year with different stock rims.

Same wheels used on all models except the M3, as far as I know.
