i have a 99lexus rx300 but want to buy 2005bmw325ix w/100000 miles on it...what are common problems,, how does it handle in snow?
Best thing to do is Google those key words and you'll find your answers better. ☺
The E90 325ix is simply amazing in the snow. The only downside is suspension components and maintenance. When they wear out, you had either know a good mechanic or be able to turn some of you own wrenches. I would recommend the bimmerboard.com for more personal insights in the ownership of this vehicle.
As stated above, unless it is a xi it is horride in the snow so you should be happy with that aspect. I believe the 2005 is still in the e46 series. Some of the more prevelant problems i know of are the automatic tranmissions lose reverse at about 100000 mi. and about the same time the cooling system is known to fail causing overheating and if your not careful a blown head. There are several forums you can visit to look up known problems with the e46.
