1964 Silvercloud Series III RHD Dome Light issue

I replaced the battery in my 1964 Silvercloud Series III RHD Rolls-Royce.  
Since putting the new battery in, the dome light will not turn off. All doors are
closed properly. No other electrical problems.   Any suggestions what could
cause the problem?

I too have a 1964 Cloud III with exactly the same problem. I have taken out the light bulb as I cant identify the cause of the problem. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
