Cooling system issue! Replaced overflow tank, ect sensor (total nightmare!!!), thermostat, every hose, flushed system, etc. All tests good, but still fans won't come on and no coolant in top hose. Aga

With the engine cold remove the recovery tank cap and the thermostat. Fill the cooling system at the thermostat hole in the engine. Once full, replace the thermostat and start the engine. Top off the coolant in the recovery tank with the engine running. If it continues to overheat have the coolant tested for combustion gases. If you have a Northstar it's probably a blown head gasket. All Northstar engines blow head gaskets sooner or later. HTH. - Jim

find the bleeder valve to vent off the air and pour coolant in while running a cold engine. bleed air till coolant spurts out. this is how my valve looks like.
