Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Don't believe that I have enough knowledge to do heads. I was wondering if you think Steel Seal is a good product??

I do not advise the use of fix in a can products. They typically lead to bigger problems in the future. But this is just my opinion.

Assuming that your deVille has a Northstar engine, choose your repair facility carefully! To do the head gaskets on one of these correctly you're looking at upwards of $3,500.00. The engine and transmission MUST come out and it comes out from the bottom. You can NOT remove the heads with the engine in the car. HTH. -Jim
