sometimes fuel gauge shoows empty when there is fuel in tank . then it slowlyadjusts nto correct level

Most often it's the fuel sending unit in the fuel tank that is giving you false readings Sometimes it's the fuel guage itself or the wiring. It wil take some investigated work on what is actually causing your issue. Personally I wouldn't spend any money dealing with it till it gets worse.

might be a relatively easy replacement without lowering the tank, I'd have to look in the trunk for an access panel, should be able to un-do the screws twist the retainer off and lift the unit off of there, change out the sender and put it back...not too bad a job~
