Dose anybody know if the bowl vent solenoid had anything to do with the vehicle not starting

No, it is just a purge control device, most common failures are the ignition module and distributor pick up coil, ignition coil, ignition switch, fuel pumps and switching valves. You need to find out if it is fuel or spark that is causing your no run problem.
