i have a95 gmc that the fuel pump works some times when it stops if you hit the steering wheel it starts working again any ideas what it could be

If when you hit the steering wheel,it work,s again,i would think it may be your igintion switch is bad.

all ready replaced switch and wiring in column

Check the fuel pump relay,if not it, it may be your fuel pump.
