Power steering issues

I have the same problem with my Audi A5. Any help? I read that the Audi A5 Steering system is mechanical no hydraulic. So don't use fluid.

I have the same issue clunking noise while turning and heavy steering, steering rack has been replaced same with steering pump and still not solved

Anonymous, lower steering shaft, and U joint. They are exposed, get rusty and worn.

Still not solved i been to audi to get it checked few weeks ago they said its steering rack got it replaced again and still same sh*t

Im in the same boat...audi a5... steering wheel very light! Slight delay from steering wheel to tyres to turn when changing lanes... car drives like a snake when 70mph...car also seems very bouncy. Bought new discs, pads AND calipers!..no change! Recently my steering wheel became very hard to turn (jerks) ..one garage told me it was my steering rack £1300+ ...went to other garage and they said it was my steering coupling ...£270...that fixed the stiffness.... but the drive at speed is dangerous..just wants to veer into barriers... also noticed that if my tyre runs over a small crack on the road..my tyre seems to goes in the direction the crack takes it..but steering wheel remains central. Ive noticed when turning steering wheel slightly to the left..my left wheel is positioned slightly left BUT my right wheel is central (flush with the car body)... And lastly, i measured from middle of rear wheel centrecap to middle centrecap front tyre...i done this both side and noticed one side is out by 10mil... ive never had a crash or hit a kerb... Should i just torch my car? Lol

My 2016 S5 Audi Coupe Convertible steering rack needed to be replaced (So I was told b my Audi service). Less than 1 year out of warranty. $3,500!!! Love the car but will never own another Audi out of warranty.
