Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Is it worth buying a "barely running/dead" 2003 Ford Focus for its engine parts for our daughter's 2005 Ford focus?

2003 focus has the 2.0l or 2.3l Ztech engine . The 2005 through 2007-2008 has the 2.0l 2.3l duratec engine in my opinion I have owned many focus and the duratec is a strong reliable engine that has a timing chain' suppose to= 2003 zetec has timming belt" boooo " most people wouldn't think of a focus being a hot little car with minimal money put in. a few bolt on's is nice but not necessarily needed. with smog deleting muffler/resinator delet cheap glasspack with little backpressure homeade cold air intake hot plugs/decent coils injectors fuel pump with slightly more pressure good open fuel filter m@p air tweaks play with timming and bam you got yourself a sleeper that will huall azz . I have built a few 2005 2006 focus zx3's I got from tow yards couple hundred bucks. Funny imports civics integras ect with tons $$ dropped under hood from daddy's bank account the look on the faces of the import drivers when they get the jump off the line only to find out the ford starts to pull hard after reaching 5k rpm second gear chirping third gear leaving them far behind and keeps pulling away until they eventually let off giving up the chase haha.
