Need help identifying a part
My son bounced a basketball on top of the engine of my daughters car while I was changing the oil and broke a part. I need assistance identifyiny the part so I can replace it. It is a 2005 For Focus. The part is circled in the attached picture.
Thanks for the help
I belive it is part of the evap system, cant tell from pic,is the tube broke,if so find one at junk yard ,cut off about 6 inches of plastic pipe, unbolt plug in housing, take off your car same amount of tubing and plugin, use a 3 inch piece of gas line hose or vac line clamp both ends together, plug back in,it should be ok,their is no way to replace the plastic tube.
It mounts to and protrudes down into the fuel rail. Clicking on the picture above fives a closer view. I have attached a copy of a fuel rail with injectors and you can see the flange where the part would mount.
Found it. It is the fuel injector pressure sensor.
glad you found the problem,in the first photo it looked as if the plastic pipe is what looked as if it were broken at the connector.
