ford 5 hundred audio aux
car has a aux button but no socket can i get something and plug it into the back of the stereo to use the aux
A lot of cars come with OEM Stereos that have an AUX button, but no Auxiliary input capability. I never did understand that. Not knowing which stereo you are starting with, here are your options- 1) Go to the store (Best Buy, Circuit City, Car Toys, etc.) and purchase an inexpensive ($100-140) head unit and have it installed. Almost ALL of the aftermarket radios have a 3.5mm aux input plug. You can get ones with it in the front of the unit or in the back for a cleaner look, but once it's there, it is there. 2) If you have the premium stereo already, or you don't want to take route 1, then go to the car audio dept. of such a store as I mentioned and ask them about having an RF Modulator installed. It should be cheaper than the new stereo, but it may still be around $50-70. The RF modulator will allow you to plug in an iPod or similar device.
