Does replacing the ignition barrel effect the gas struts in the boot??

Asked by cardiffcomvz Nov 04, 2014 at 01:22 AM about the Holden Commodore

Question type: General

I have just had to have the ignition barrel replaced in my vz executive 05 as it had worn out, now after having this done I've opened the boot to find that the gas struts aren't working and its really heavy to open. Could these problems be related or is it just bad timing??

No. If I understand you correctly, you just replaced the ignition switch and now the hood is hard to open. No, not related.
