Is this a good deal?
95 Chevy corsica for $800. The seller says it needs
a new battery and has 170,000 miles with proper
routine servicing every 3000 miles. The car looks
fine and batteries are cheap. But with the mileage
is that okay?
Jump start it, should run if its just the battery. Otherwise if its running & driving without any other issues. Just look it over good. Know its at the age/mileage to need work sooner than later. If its good otherwise $800 is not bad but could offer less just ask.
Alot of times I have checked on auto's that say just need battery and this is a common plea sellers wish you to accept that know they do not want you to run the car before you buy it for what ever reason. If you now them and they are not able to put a battery in it and you can just to check it out then do so before buying it.
Your picking up a car for $800, if it runs and drives and is inspected, then go for it.
These were good cars. GMs last hoorah, in my opinion. BUT it is 22 years old now. So as others have mentioned, jump start it and test drive it. If it runs and drives reasonably well and is safe (brakes, tires, steering) I'd buy it. Hard to go wrong for $800 today!! If you get six months out of it, you're ahead of the game! HTH. -Jim
Buy it, just make sure it runs..
Jump start it first. There are too many con men out there.
Pass on it; the engine has probably been ruined by Dex-Cool.
