Look at the benefits - you can now idle down the highway. In the fast lane. Seriously though, look for a vacuum leak around the throttle body.

Or a stuck IAC. Unplug the IAC (Idle Air Control) valve and tap on it. If the idle drops to just barely running, the IAC is bad. HTH. -Jim
