I have a roaring noise when I am driving down the road. Took it to the shop they said it was the wheel bearings changed both on the front still has a roar. It is a 2005 Ford escape awd
It's your tires trust me went through the same thing with my vehicle thought it was the wheel bearings because the tires did not look that bad but after replacing the front and rear bearings and still had problem replaced the tires and the noise was gone.
I have replaced all bearings and put new tires on my 2008 ford escape awd and still have "bearing" noise sound. Im stumped!
Have had 3 Escapes 04 09 an 14. All roar. Sounds like a log truck. Embarrassing. I know people are running out side to see what the noise is. Wont buy another Ford.
There was a recall on 05-08 models, said the cause of loud noise and sounded like wheel bearing is due to the power train, that is part of the recall
