the ets light is on ..it feels as if the tranny is slipping....installed used trans...does the same thing

I feel this ets system is the culprit but am unsure how to diagnose it....it felt as if the trans was slipping...so removed and replaced with  used trns....and still the same intermittent slip issue....it will drive fine and then start the slipping...no pattern to it at all....fluid level is correct...new filter  etc...please help  1997

a bad wheel sensor will trip the abs and check engine and ets all on , check for codes, The ets needs the abs to function , if this is an electronic shifted trans , with shift solenoids it may be going in limp mode , witch is a higher gear and appear to be slipping from torque converter spin.
