1997 chevy camaro v6 3800
I have a 1997 Chevy Camaro V6 3800
it started running hot losing oil
pressure and clicking what could it
Get a mechanic's stethoscope and see if the clicking is coming from the oil pump drive shaft assembly. I think if you find your clicking you'll find what's losing oil pressure. (the o-rings on the pump shafts are prone to failure). A wet compression test and a leak down test can also help pinpoint oil pressure losses.
By the way, you didn't mention if your oil level is good, and condition of the oil filter.
Oil level about. 40 50 water coming out the bottom of intake its missing and I think the transmission is slippling
Missing just started and it would shut off in the beginning
If your engine is overheating due to a coolant leak, the oil will start to heat up and boil because the engine block is heating up. this will cause your oil pressure issue and valve ticking to eventually destroying your engine. So your almost there. Perform some test that Ken mentioned and don't continue to drive the car till you have it repaired.
an over heated transmission will also slip.
What would I need to get to fix it
