Theft light stays on car cranks but won't start

Went out to eat when came back to car would not start it. Cranks but won't start
The theft system light stays on fuel pump won't pump and injectors don't activate please help need my car so i can
continue to see my daughter . Please help me

If you can't afford to take the car to a mechanic. Your could explain the situation at the local Chevy dealer parts department. They would probably be able to tell you what's wrong. If it's not something easy to fix, you might try calling a local technical school in your area and see if they let students repair the problem under teacher supervision for free or a very low rate.

I'm pretty positive the 98 had a pass key 2 follow this link and follow the procedure I had this guy do let me know whether it works or not http://www.cargurus.com/ Cars/Discussion-d475_ds505015

sound like your security system has kick in to protect the car from being stolen....is there a cut off butten under the dash? if yes you will have to deactivate it by pressing that butten or try unlocking your doors only with the remote keys to reset it. or Deatership....LayDee511

The battery in the key is dead and the chip is not connecting to your computer take the key to a parts store or dealer and have the battery replaced
