okay, has anyone had problems with their fuel pump and any recommendations on and offline as to where i can find one reasonably priced?

Autozone and Advance have them but they both list them for around $250. Another option would be to find one at a junkyard. Reliability could be an issue with a junkyard one but it should be much cheaper especially if you pull it yourself.
