I installed a cd player in my 98 cavalier. I was not happy that is was not flush mounted. Did I get the wrong installation, or do you have to have the firewall cut to properly flush mount it?

Dear taratara-- The best site I know of to answer your question is www.crutchfield.com. From this site you will get a toll-free phone number. When you call them you will get a very knowledgeable person. Ask for Sparky and tell him I told you to call. Good luck from Bovan.
