We are considering buying a 2008 4 Runner but it won't shift into 1st gear of 4 wh/eel drive. Is this a big concern, we won't be using 4 wheel drive very often

It won't go into 4wd low but goes into 4-high? Is it manual shift or electric shift with a button? Not a big deal if you drive on the street but I bet with some work you could get it into 4-low. Check the gear oil level in the transfer case.
