Durango brakes by itself

Asked by Jun 11, 2017 at 08:00 PM about the 2008 Dodge Durango

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My 2008 durango front left wheel locks up, usually
on on left hand bends. It's like someone jammed
on the brakes, but only one side, I can't tell if it's
just the front, but I think so. It also seems to
happen more on really smooth, freshly asphalted
road. It only happens on curves. Other than that the
brakes work fine. Sometimes the traction light is
on and the abs light, but if I turn the car off and
back on the lights go off, but the problem occurs
weather the lights are on or off. Also there's a
clicking noise from the relay box, only after it rains,
and it clicks until the battery is dead, but the relays
and box are dry. I'm confused???

Take it too a shop for repairs, There is issues that need addressed before it cause a wreck. Something could be loose or damaged. Trust me take it in for repairs.

The braking issue is the ABS system is activated at the times when you don't want it too. The traction control light and ABS light should have been a clue to the issue. One of the wheel speed sensors is detecting an issue. Like engine suggest, have a shop get it on the lift and scan for the ABS codes
