why does my 99 chev s-10 blazer die once it heats up
the intake air sensor will cause the mix to enrich until it chokes and will not start~ http://www.summitracing.com/parts/acf-213-243? seid=srese1&gclid=CPHSuovYx7sCFYlAMgod9BUAPQ
have someone check to see if the temp sensor for the computer is bad. The IAT sensor above doesn't have enough influence to make the engine die. Next things I'd suspect is the upstream o2 sensors, ign coil, or ign control module. All of which can be checked. O2's can be monitored by a scan tool and the ignition components can be tested at autozone.
Sounds like an ignition coil or ignition control module is breaking down when it gets hot. They'll do that sometimes when they're dying. Run fine when cool or cold but die as soon as they heat up. HTH. -Jim
