I can drive my car in reverse but when i put it in
drive it dies

Reverse clutch in transmission may be dislogsed.

Could be the TCC (Torque Converter Clutch) in the transmission is stuck on. HTH. -Jim

The problem fixed it self

Well that's good. If the TCC clutch solenoid is sticking the problem may crop up again. Let's hope it doesn't! -Jim
