You asking how to remove the spare tire that is on the truck? Yes, you need the tire iron to lower the tire. Stop in at any junkyard/scrap yard and pick one up for a few bucks, or borrow one from a friend. You won't be able to lower the spare without the tool.

If you don't have a tire iron, how do you take the lug nuts off?

maby a screwdriver from under the tail will turn it down c c i think lowers the tire, 1/8 x 1/2 inch slot on cranker

You could use a cutting torch, hand grinder, sawz all. Good luck trying to put one back though.
