car was running cut off at stop light either
it's the head gasket or timing chain which
one do you think it is

I think it's head gaskets

Run a compression test. If all cylinders test very low or zero the timing chain has jumped. A blown head gasket usually won't stop the engine from running unless one of the cylinders fills up with coolant. HTH. -Jim
