2001 Chevy Tracker won't shift into any gear
While in a drive-thru, I heard a high-pitched whirring sound (reminded me of something coiled coming undone) and I cannot put it into any gear. It's a 5-speed manual. When I tried to put it into reverse, it made a terrible grinding sound and would not go. Any suggestions on where to start?
any clutch work been done on it in the past
Yes,drop transmission and replace your clutch, pressure plate and throw out bearing,no easy fix to this. good luck with it.
One more thought come to mind after thinking on this question, check the clutch master cylinder and slave cylinder before you drop the tranny.
crumbob, no clutch work has been done on it since I got it in 2002. Thanks, T_S_T, I will look into that.
