how do I get my key oput of the ignition its stuck in the start position

new ignition about a month ago and now wont start and trying to start it the key got stuck in the ignition in the starting position and will not come out

I did that in my Tahoe. A locksmith came and it was $15. Cool tool to get it out. Dealer quote $245.
