will a cracked radiator resavoir cause my 2001 chevy malibu to over heat since its loosing flui

when car over heats it smokes at the resovoir and when you fill it ..it shoots
out the bottom..replaced the water pump and had the head gasket checked
and no cracks ..what should i do

Yes, the cooling system needs to be filled with coolant and under pressure, any leak or crack will cause the vehicle to overheat. Replace the reservoir.
