does anyone know how to deactivate the passive alarm>?
Did you check the owner's manual index?
Is it an aftermarket unit? I've never come across a factory unit causing these issues. I had a friend with an aftermarket remote start that did the same thing. After speaking with the manufacturer's tech support, they determined that it was a bad unit and the box had to be replaced (for free luckily). I would call the service department of your local dealership and speak to a service adviser. Just ask them if they've come in contact with this issue at all and what it turned out to be.
the problem was not the alarm i had it removed anyways..after several times of my battery going dead the odometer light and radio stayed on though it was alamrs fault...not..when i put my car in park i had to hear a (click) if there was no click lights would stay on
