I already changed the water pump radiator and thermostat and it turns on but still gets hot and idles for a ?

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I am pretty sure the Ford Crown Vic's still used a carburetor in 1985. Running lean can cause heating problems, albeit not severe. Does it run well otherwise..and overheat at highway speeds or only in traffic? It's a sort of longshot, but there is an adjustment screw on carb to adjust fuel/air mix. And idles for a ? what does that mean
