is the auto shop that fixed my impala obligated to honor my warrenty
i had another motor installed in my impala with a 90 day warrenty. 1 week after i got my car back it started overheating. i took it back but they claimed they couldnt find anything wrong, well it continued to overheat and it blew the head gasket . im asking them to fix my car because the warrenty has not expired yet but they r giving me the run around what do i do.
If you have the warranty in writing and can show that you tried to have them look at it. Let them know you are not giving up until they honor their warranty or you will seek an attorney.
Sounds like someone screwed up during the install and in order to fix it they will have to pay for it out of pocket so they dont want to mess with it. Dont let up, it is their responsibility to correct the problem or preform warranty work which they would get reimbursed for through the engine manufacture. I know where I work they like to perform warranty work because it is guaranteed money as they get paid by the manufacture of the engine or other product.
