My 67 Cougar hesitates when I give it a lot of gas. Ideas?

Looked through the carburator, everything looks fine.

When was the last time you did a tuneup? Plugs, wires, points, filters. Maybe you need the carb cleaned up or rebuilt. Is the fuel old, you might have water in the gas if the car sat around. Try some dry gas or fuel stabilizer and see if that helps.
