Was the oil change warning reset after the oil change?

The percentage of oil life is based on how many miles you have driven, not the actual condition of your oil. So, it is just a reminder and has to be reset. Evey car is different on how to reset it. If you have the owners manual it would tell you how, or maybe someone on here would know.

To reset on most GMs try this. Turn on the ignition but don't start the engine. Press the gas pedal to the floor and release 5 times within 5 seconds. Turn off the ignition. Now start it up and the oil life should be 100%. The service facility forgot to reset it. HTH. -Jim
