You will need a tachometer and a vacuum gauge is very useful for setting a carburetor. The 260V8 cylinder numbering 1,3,5,7 drivers side bank front to rear of vehicle, 2,4,6,8 passenger side bank front to rear. FIRING ORDER 1,8,4,3,6,5,7,2, Distributor rotation CLOCKWISE. Buy a '76 Skylark service manual(Worth It) diagrams for factory rotor alignment and Carb tuning. Regards
