Can a 1975 Buick 350 engine fit in a 1972 Buick Skylark? What needs to be changed?

Question type: Car Customization

I have a 1972 Buick Skylark with a 350ci & TH300 transmission.  I blew my motor and
cannot find one from the same year.  I did find a 1975 350ci (No trans) that looks nearly
identical.  I don't want to buy it if it won't fit though.

should swap right in. it's the same engine. the 75 will have more emissions crap on it, but you can just pull all that off and put on the stuff from your motor.

Thank you Mark. That was helpful.. I was also able to find a couple of mechanics that verified what you say. The dimensions of the engine are identical.
