trying to find my 1968 skylark

i am trying to find a 1968 buick skylark that i sold in 1973.  i traded the car in to O'keefe chevy in hartford conn.  i have been trying for years to find it, realizing it may now be a cube, but i remain hopeful.  the vin # is 435788296589.  the vin number is shorter than todays modern vins.  anybody that can give me a clue on how to proceed, would be much appreciated.  i can be reached at mrpixur@yahoo.com
