Your best bet is to get a haynes or chiltons manual for your vehicle. A chevy Cavalier service manual is great. Your going to need this to find out what special tools you'll need and how to replace it correctly and safely. It's something that would be hard to describe properly on a forum like this.

you'll need a tranny jack , jack stands , torque wrench , and a clutch alignment tool & bunch of hand tools , remove the tranny , remove the clutch, remove the flywheel & check it for cracks , groves & hot spots. take it to a machine shop & see if they can resurface it or get a new one, (if you don't do this you're just wasting your time) . the new clutch & fly wheel should be torqued to specs so you will need a repair manual for that .
