2002 Blazer "Check Engine Soon" light is on but scanner doens't detect any codes. What do I do now?
2002 Blazer "Check Engine Soon" light is on but when we hooked up the scanner it doesn't show any codes. I need to get it inspected, but I can't if I can't find out what's wrong.
It may be that at the ALDL connector has no power for the scanner? Something not working electrically inside the vehicle?
car runs great and no apparent electrical problems. Only thing I know is wrong is slight power steering fluid leak. Everything else is good.
Gotta get a code or it is a guessing game. Would need someone to look at it to see why the light is on.
If it is the yellow check engine light that is a maintence reminder light, time for an oil and filter change then reset the light, if it is the red light and no codes then there is a failure in the engine control systems, check the fuses and don't forget those under the hood, if none are blown then you will have to go to a shop for further testing.
It's a yellow light. You think an oil and filter change will do the trick?
Just make sure they reset the light when it is serviced, or reset it yourself, that information will be in the owners manual.
