Why are the rear brakes on my 2002 Blazer dragging and smoking?
I changed the brake pads, both front and rear, because I was having a
grinding noise. Since then the rear brakes seem to be dragging and one side
is smoking even after a very short drive. I can't seem to see any problems
You might have to adjust/repair the parking brake since it's the rear that is having the issue.
alot can be that you touched the rotor with grease on your hands and the break is adjusting itself to tight and now that the oil is burnt off you should take the caliper off and push the piston in like you do when you change it but this time spray the rotor with break cleaner .. or there is a possibility the emergency break is sticking
