What were the keys on a 1966 GTO used for
To start the car and unlock the doors...sorry I don't mean to sound sarcastic but what else are you asking?
There were two keys for every car. There was a round one that opened the doors, trunk and glove box and a square one that allowed the ignition switch to turn.
If you had a factory installed locking gas cap, that had a separate key.
What key opens the center console
Should be the round one.
I'm asking on a 1966 gto is one octagon key for ignition door and trunk. And round one for glove box and center console?
