Fuel smell

I have an 08 equinox, it had a strong fuel smell I just
changed the fuel injectors and I don't find any
leaks. What could be causing the smell

There is a fuel charcoal canister next to the gas tank under the car that can be filled with gas and needs to be changed

engine heating up ok? a bad coolant thermostat can wreck your cat. converter.
