What just happend?

Asked by Nov 16, 2016 at 10:09 AM about the 2008 Ford Expedition

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

So my 2008 expedition had a bad rear suspension,
and today I was driving and when I came to a dip in
my nieghborhood and mu car went up (as usual)
and came down hard and made a noise, after that
the engine turned off and the steering wheel I'd
stiff when trying to turn, the brakes are really hard
to push, and gas pedal seems more easier to push
in, also now the car doesn't even turn back on it
makes a noise as if it wants to but doesn't. Any
suggestions?

Sounds like you have broken the suspension and this has caused other systems to crash also. Get it on a rack and see what it looks like.

Maybe the Inertia switch was activated by the bump.
