I put my rear window down adn heard a cracking glass sound, then the window stopped. It wouldn't go up or down, but the motor sounded like it was still functioning. What happened and how do I fix it?

Time for a new window regulator. You have to remove the inner door panel to replace. There are some videos on how to do it, check youtube.
