After how many miles does the timing chain have to be changed?
you bedder hury cuz daylite savings time ends 11-03-13
The timing chain is not a maintenance item. You replace it when it fails or you have timing issues.
Never wait for a timing belt or chain to fail. It most definetly is a maintenance item especially if your car has an interference engine in it. The tolerances in that type of engine are so close if the timing belt or chain either slips or snaps be prepared to purchase a new engine. The tolerances are so tight if you lose timing, engine parts WILL hit. eachother totally destroying your engine. I've personally seen the damage first hand, check with manufacturer on advise when to have the belt / chain serviced, also the tech will recommend changing the waterpump as well, let them do it, the waterpump must be removed to get to the timing belt anyway, makes no sense to put back the old pump.good luck....been there done that ......
