Is a 2008 Chrysler 2dr convertible a reliable car. I'm trying to find my first car, and I don't want to make a bad purchase.

In my opinion they are not. Do some research on the year make and model of any vehicle before you consider purchasing it, when you find the one you like then take it and have it checked over by a shop that does used car checks, it is money well spent.

I have done research, and from what I can tell the only problem that arises is the transmission will crap out randomly.

By definition ...when you research and find that "transmission will crap out randomly" makes it unrelaible
